WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Berry, Dexter, and Wilson Ponds needs your help! If you live on one of these ponds, use the beach, or put your boat in to fish or swim, we need you to pay your dues of $50 per household.
We currently do not have invasive plants on our ponds and the BDW Ponds Association is working very hard to keep it that way. Many of our neighboring ponds now have been invaded by these plants that are ruining their lakes and the value of their property.
You don’t need to live on the pond to make a donation.

News
PLEASE READ IMPORTANT NEWS
On August 22nd, a volunteer surveyor from Cobbossee Lake Association (CLA) found a suspicious plant that Watershed Friends' staff, the Maine DEP, and Lake Stewards of Maine (LSM) all confirmed to be Water Chestnut (Trapa natans). Following that find, a rapid response survey was conducted by WF with assistance from the DEP and CLA staff and volunteers. Three Water Chestnut plants were found in Jug Stream, south of the dam, and subsequently removed by our Plant Control Coordinator. No other plants were found on either the Annabessacook Lake or Cobbossee Lake sides of the dam.

This is the first known Water Chestnut infestation in the state of Maine. Please read the attached press release for additional information.
